Many firms all over the UK and beyond make us aware of their longer-term plans in the knowledge that Ortus Professional Search has a unique view on the market place and we can bring business opportunities to their attention that they may not have thought of. By sharing with us your ambitions as a firm, we will recognise and highlight specific opportunities that we become aware of. This has previously resulted in the acquisition of entire teams complete with client base in diverse practices
We will always give retained clients priorities on these opportunities as preferred agreements work both ways. If the opportunity does not fit with the goals of our retained clients, we will then take a good opportunity to market, starting with those firms that have shared information with us relating to the relevance of such ideas. If these ideas do not resonate with the firms we have our best relationships with, we will then take it to the wider market and this is one of the most common ways for Ortus to become known at new firms and good relationships usually develop as a result of these introductions.
It is of course the client firm that pays our fees but we do exercise a duty of care to the individuals we work with and will introduce them to a number of other firms that appear to match their ambitions. We will never encourage them to meet with any firm unless we believe it to be congruent with their personal goals.
